Question about Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
I just purchased my new camera before we came on holidays to Mexico. I have had some problems with error messages but have managed to somehow correct them. Now the monitor screen is grey with many white lines on it. I cannot view any pics that I took on the monitor nor does the picture come up on the monitor when i take a picture. The monitor was woking before but showed some information about the picture so the picture was small. How can I get the monitor working again?? What am I doing wrong???
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi, Your camera shouldn't be toast, the cha error can be caused by many things. First thing you'll want to do is remove the lens you currently have on it. Then what you'll want to do is hold down the two buttons that have green dots on top of them (they're located on the top of the camera) for 5 seconds, this restores the camera to factory. After that you'll want to go into the menu and then custom controls and then hit reset. That should fix the error most of the time however it can also be caused by certain memory cards. In that case you'll want to save all photos off of the memory card onto a computer and reformat the memory card. If neither of those work for you let me know and I can try and help you troubleshoot more =)

Make sure you're using the right connector and have it plugged into the bottom port of the D90. Make sure the D90 is NOT set to one of the remote shooting modes.
