Question about Dryers

1 Answer

Estate by Whirpool EED4300VQ0... my husband turned the dryer on (not to an actual setting but just into the gray area) and the dial stayed there for two hours without moving. Now the dryer will not turn on at all. We've tried flipping the breaker, unplugging and plugging it back in... we know nothing about dryers and I need some help before my husband decides he's a handy man!

What is this feature-"Wringle Prevent"

What the wrikle prevent does is after cycle is done if you dont go take clothing out right away is will tumble the drum without heat for 30 seconds every 10 minutes till the door is opened so the clothing doesnt sit there and wrinkle but gets tossed around lightly so wrinkles dont set in.

The timer is stripped inside and needs to be replaced. The cogged teeth are made of plastic and a tooth or two has broken off keeping the timer from moving while running

There should be a nameplate along the door opening. This is normally where Whirpool puts their information. Just open the door and look along the door or door frame opening. The nameplate data can also be located along the back of the operator console on some models. Let me know if you still can't find it. I hope this helps.
