What type of oil does the saw require and how much?

Your Skil tool has been properly lubricated and
is ready to use. However it is recommended
that the gears be relubricated only with Skil
lubricants: No. 80111 (8 oz. tube), No. 80112
(pint) or No. 80113 (1/2 gal. can).
Always check the
oil level before
using the saw. To
check and add oil:
Remove plug from
power source and
place the saw's foot on a horizontal surface.
Remove oil plug using the same wrench used
to remove the saw blade. The oil level should
never be below bottom threads in the housing.
When adding oil, fill until oil starts to run out of
oil hole at arrow on housing and replace oil
plug.

part #80111 and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com.

I have a Skilsaw wormdrive Mag 77 circular and the case on it says Oil is low what oil is best to use?

they make special "wormdrive" oil that is similar to gear lube but i has an additive for foaming. You should be able to go to any repair shop and buy a small bottle of the wormdrive oil. I would not recommend using anything else or you might damage the gears. Let me know if you need help finding the oil and if so give me your general location in the US and I will try and help you further.

I need to know what kind of oil do I use to change the oil in my skill saw 77? Mine is pretty dirty, runs great but thought I should change the oil. Thanks Bill

Use Skil worm drive oil #80111 ($5-$6.00) at Home depot, or Bosch WD7LUB 2.3 FL. OZ. (I bought for $3.50 at Bosch service center.)

For the Skil 77 worm drive circular saws what type of oil is required?

Use 90 weight gear/differential oil but if you use it outside in the cold weather it's too thick, use 40 weight oil then and switch to the 90 weight in the summer.

Need to know what level oil in my skill saw mag77 should be?

have the saw as level as possible and put in oil until it starts to run out on the bottom of thread. Make sure you use a worm drive oil, just any oil will not work properly.

I have a skil mag77 saw and need to replace the gear oil skil part # 80111 ive seen sugessted that i can use an anti foaming gear oil other than skil dist. where can i get some ,grainger/ autozone?...

Basically, anti-foam gear oil is regular oil without a detergent additive. I wouldn't play around and get any oil, since your mag77 is a nice piece of equiptment, but I understand that Skill will charge a premium for their oil. If I were you I'd spend the few extra bucks to be sure I have the correct oil.

I am in Africa and the saw was shipped with little

drain out the remaining oil and if you can get just a clear mineral oil fine, otherwise standard gear oil would work also i.e. 80/90 weight

How much/what type of oil goes in my old wormdrive saw?

their owners manual doesn't give an exact quantity however they say to unplug the tool first then remove the fill plug and the lower plug and the oil should run out past the first thread. they recommend using their oil 80111 8 oz. tube however any good worm drive lubricant will work, Don't use anything like gear lube because the worm drive lube has an additive for anto foaming. Blown engine

makita likes you to use at least 91 octane fuel and a synthetic oil mixture. the stens oils is garbage, i switched to the makita oil around 6 months ago and i havent had a problem. also, the wacker saws use the same motor and their piston heads are sleeved in carbon so they last longer and dont score the cylinder as fast as the stock makita heads.

makita also makes a 100:1 mix hi performance oil you can use.
