Refrig and freezer does not work

My 2004 kenmore refrig model # 795.73266302 stopped cooling both refrig and freezer. Fan still blows air and i hear a clicking noise from back of refrig. Recent power outage at house and refrig quite working after that. Is there a reset button on this refrig???

If you hear an occasional humm then click your most likely cause for your problem is the compressor start relay is bad. Don't be surprised to find your compressor is Very Hot. Don't worry about that but unplug the frig till you replaced the relay assm. Use the oem part not the aftermarket 3in1 replacement.

If your fridge has a power button inside next to the climate control. Hold it in for a few seconds before releasing. This resets the system

Unplug it four a few hours,It sounds like the compressor is in thermal overload,Allow it to cool down and plug it back in.

The problem is the compressor starter relay on the main board,(Approx.$425 installed)for the entire main board.

If compressor is hot that means comp- is trying to start but the relay /overload is bad allow comp to cool down unplug from wall and replace with exact type 1/2hp 1/4hp 1/3hp etc make sure all wireing is correct and unplug before starting that model may or may not have a run or start capacitor replace it also..

The Clicking Indicates Replacing The Compressor.
There May Be A Compressor Relay But They Are Very Rare.
Unplug The Unit And Plug It In Over And Over In hopes You'll Hear The Compressor Kick On. In The Case That The Fridge Does Cut On You May Not Need To Replace The Compressor.

It could be the circuit board, but it would need to be tested..any qualified repairman can do this!

Kenmore 18tfa top freezer refrig model # 72852101 freezer works, no cool air going into the refrig part. Ice machine works fine too. fan is on.

Possible fan not blowing the air into the fresh food compartment or your freezer could be frosted up. Need more input.

Top frig not cooling but bottom freezer is

The fan in the back of the freezer is for the freezer as well as the refrigerator. If the fan runs to slow the refrigerator does not get the chilled air, which cause it not to cool. I would have the fan swapped out to solve problem

Freezer freezes, fridge below will not cool

if your freezer is still freezing fine, except for perhaps a slight softening of ice cream. this is a good sign. the second fan you are looking for is located behind the back wall of the freezer, emptying the freezer will gain you access to the screws to remove he panel. you should be able to hear the fan blowing when the freezer door is opened.if indeed the fan is blowing you may have frost building up on the rear panel, this would indicate a defrost problem( unit not self defrosting) and so much frost has built up that the air flow has been restricted to the refrig compartment

check freezer for frost build up on back wall and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting, you can try turning that to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.
