Toshiba 32C100U, won't pick up digital signals

The tuner can fail. Did you have a surge come through cable line? I have had tuners damaged after a lightning strike near an OTA antenna. (It took out the amplifier/splitter and the tuners on 2 TVs and a digital-to-analog OTA converter box. Oddly, it didn't destroy the tuner on a second converter box.)

Before you assume that the tuner is bad, try resetting the TV to the factory default. Press Menu and select Setup. Highlight Installation and press Enter. Then use the left and right arrows to get to Factory Defaults. Press Enter and then highlight Yes and press Enter. (Enter your PIN if you have set one.) Then use the left or right arrows to select Done and press Enter again. After the TV turns off, unplug it for several seconds. Plug the power cord back in and try to scan for channels again.

I hope this helps.

Quasar VV-1300 TV/VCR will not program channels 5-15 and 22-47. I have worked with customer service who walked me through programming and resetting the TV. We also manually added these channels. I only...

If you have the unit set to cable/antenna and the channels are not locking in you may have a bad solder connections where the tuner mounts to the main circuit board, in the tuner or the tuner itself is bad. Without certain in shop tests its hard to pin point tuner problems. Depending on the age of the set a tuner may be hard to find.

Trouble recording on the DVR.

Do you have a Dual tuner DVR? If so, verify that you have 2 cables from the dish plugged into the back, one into each tuner.

If thats not the problem, go into your settings and verify that you do not have one tuner disabled. If both tuners are enabled, check the signal strength. If its good on both tuners and resetting the receiver doesn't fix it, its probably time to call DTV to discuss a new receiver.
