Depending on how much water could be collecting it might be normal. If this is causing the dishwasher not to clean the dishes properly then you may need to clean the filters and ensure the kitchen sink drain is clean.

SOURCE: water not draining from drawer

Could be the little non return valve mounted underneath the top drawer. Lie down on the floor under the top drawer, remove the main plastic pannel covering the bottom to expose the black drainage hose (you may need to cut away a cable tie). Remove the drainage hose from bottom of the drawer - at the start of the drainage hose there will be a small rubber type flap - if it looks broken or worn out, it will need replacing - call F & P for a replacement, approx $5 + postage for a pair (one for the top drawer and one for the bottom)
Hope this helps

The fault you have described with the top drawer appears to be related to the lid seal becoming dislodged. However, I am slightly unclear if you can actually open the drawer or not. YOu mention it is hard to pull but you also say you see water at the bottom of the drawer. So I am assuming you are able to open the drawer. This is important otherwise it will become hard to check the problem.
It might help confirm if the lid seal is the problem if you can check which lights are on at the top of the drawer lid. For example NORMAL and RINSE. I am assuming since you have an integrated model there is no LCD display in the front.

If it is a lid seal problem then you may have to call the technician from Fisher and Paykel. It does involve a little patience and mechanical prowess to fix it. There is fiddling with motors etc involved.

You can check the parts out at this site.

Hi

Could you please let me know which all lights are blinking/lit solid in sequence from right to left. This could be an issue of drawer lock mechanism or flood switch issue. PLease post back with details for more information.

Hi,

There is a possibility that the rotor motor which drains your water out has failed or that the propellor has worn out.

Open the drawer and remove the dish tray and cutlery basket. To remove tray, it is easier to lift the back of it up first then the front so that you clear the soap tray knob.
Then remove the filter mesh which is the disk on the bottom. To remove untwist the centre anti clock-wise half a turn. This releases it so that you can lift it out.
If you have water left on the bottom, empty out in a container with a sponge.
Then you will be able to see the top of the rotor motor in the centre.
Again half a twist to free it and then lift it out. Once you remove it look at the propellors to see if they have not chipped away. Most of the time the rotor stops working.
You can swap the rotors from the good drawer to test and see if it pumps the water out.
Normally when you start a new cycle, you will first hear the machine roof seal motors working for a couple of seconds, then the machine goes into an initial pump cycle for about 15 seconds. After this you will hear it stop and then start filling up with water. Once it has filled up with water, stop the machine and repeat a new cycle.

Pause the machine after the initial stage to see it it has pumped the water out.
If the problem is the rotor you can order a replacement and fit it yourself. Very easy to do.

The top drawer of my FP dishwasher is not cleaning everything properly. The glasses or dishes in the front left side are always dirty and are covered with crumby dried residue when the cycle is complete....

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...

The upper and lower dish drawers leaves a puddle of water under each (maybe 6" in diameter) after the shortest cycle. There is a small amout of water left in the clear protective housing on the underside...

The drawers slide on a pair of rails on each side of the housing.

see installation manual page 7 to find out what you need to do to get the drawers out. The instructions are for an older model but it should be similar setup for your model.

Son put normal dish washing liquid in top draw!

ok, the machine flooded and the water has leaked into the bottom of the machine, 1st turn off the machine at the power point. 2nd- open the top drawer and remove the suds from it. 3rd. open the bottom drawer and look under it to the bottom of the cabinet . that is where the water will be. use a torch if you have to. now you need to dry the water up. you can do this with a hair dryer or a fan heater. the reason the machine is flashing F1 is because the water has triggered the flood switch and you need to dry up that water. please reply 4 more help.once dryed F1 will disappear. please make sure all the suds are removed from the top drawer. good luck

F1 with a spanner message

F1 indicates a leak. It could be that you got some water down below the drawer into the pan. This is where the sensor is located. If you pull the drawer out you will see the water. They are pretty sensitive to any water. Also you might have a leak because the bottom drawer lid is not sealing properly.
www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html has a video on replacing the seal if it is a problem.

Dish drawer leaks Fisher Paykel

When water accumulates in the bottom it triggers an error code and it keeps running. There is a water sensor in the bottom. I pull out the bottom drawer, mop up the water and use a hair dryer to dry the water (the more you mop up the less you need the hair dryer). Be careful to not get any of the plastic too hot. Kill the power before messing with the unit. The first time I did this it took 20 minutes to dry out. I have gotten more proficient and it take about 5 minutes now.

I had a water leak which was due to the rinse agent cap not being completely sealed. Water leaked out of a small hole in the front (I'm guessing an air vent but don't know for sure) and flooded the bottom.

I also had a leak due to having too tall a dish in the drawer and the top not sealing. I currently have a leak on the top drawer of unknown origin, but the bottom drawer still works.
Hope this helps.

Dish drawer leaks

The f1 is a flood error. There is a sensor in the bottom reading water. You have to dry it out before you can do anything or the drain pump will just keep running. Check the lid of the drawer you where using to see if anything may have been holding it up or if the seal is torn. If that looks ok you will have to check the lid actuators to see if one is not working. I would replace both right and left if one is out.
