Re: compaq pc programs
Try right clicking on the item you wish to open. This should give you an option to "Open with" in the open with menu you will see a list of programs that can open the file you right clicked on. If your using Vista at the bottom of this on your open with menu with be a "Choose Default Program" option where you can set which program you want to use to open that type of file. If your using XP you will get a box with a list of programs and a check box if you want to make the program you select the default one.

you can use a photo program to make a collage of photos and save as one. you could even use the paint program that is preinstalled on your pc. just open paint and add photos, shrink them down to smaller size and create your single image out of many. then go to file and "save as" so you can place the file in your photo album or wherever you would like.
You must try to setup from cd and when the blue screen comes and asks to press r them press r recovery console will open now you copy the system forder from the cd to exact location shown above you will get your problem solved the system folder will be in the i386 folder compressed Alternatively if you try to setup and at the last stage when the setup cd has already found the operating systems then press repair it will automatically be repaired
First of all, a recovery disk would be helpful to make for future purposes. so if the backup program open, you might use it.
but if you get tired of the HP software opening--
1.click START-PROGRAMS-STARTUP--- delete any shortcuts here.
2.click start-run- type in "msconfig" when it opens , select the startup tab
uncheck all the boxes of programs you wish not to start when windows starts, click apply, then OK.
restart the computer. when it tells you "you have used the system configurator to change the way windows starts" check the box telling it not to tell you again and click OK.
this will NOT unistall any programs, just sets them to not open untill you manually open them which frees up system resources and make the computer run better.
well, I need to know what program you use for burn data, music, or photos, "NERO" , NTI, or another? if any of this programs didn't work for burn CDS, then you have a bad burner, try a new one.
