Either your power supply is no good or your amp output stages are blown. Take your choice.

Pyle PLTAB8 Car Component System, Lights will not turn off. Help

Sounds like he did not wire a remote line from your radio to the amplifier, if he put a 12v from the battery to the amp and the remote spot on the amp then it will not turn off, you will need to either wore a toggle switch to the remote so you can turn it off manually or check the back of your radio for a remote line or splice a remote line from the accessory power supply on your radio so the amp will turn on when the radio is on

I am trying to hook up 3 kicker subs with a pyle 1400 watt amp in my 98 Eddie Bauer explorer and i am not sure how to do it because it has the stock amp in the back passenger quarter panel

First off, you won't be able to do this with a Pyle amp. Pyle amps are only 2 ohm stable (at best). When you do a 3 sub set up (assuming that they are all single 4 ohm voice coil), you will get either a 1.33 ohm load (way to low for that amp and will fry it quick), or you will get 12 ohms (hardly worth hooking up because of the lack of power).

Now say you have dual 4 ohm subs. You will still have the same problem going even lower than the 1.33 ohm or 6 ohms.

My recommendation is either do a 2 sub set up or get a better amp.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's true.

I have a 98 Sportster and the plmca 30. It says in the instructions the connector hooks up to most American bikes, but I can't find out where. Does the connector hook up directly to older American...

Your hooking up an amp to your sportster? and a 1998 at that. Before you do this, I would check on the specs of the amp, and find out how many amps system youll need to run this. Im not to sure that a 1998 XL's charging system puts out enough to support that. You may need to upgrade.

As far as the wiring goes, on ALL Harleys, the Orange wire with a White tracer is always your accessories wire. I usually hook up to that, somewhere under the tank, unless the directions advise otherwise, but, first, check your requirments and charging systems output.

Trouble connecting marine amp to stereo

Hello lizskates814,

You can use either the high level (speaker) or the low-level (RCA's) inputs to the amp, but not both. Choose whichever one sounds the best or is more convenient to install and leave the other disconnected.

Hope this helps.
