SOURCE: I installed a new pressure

Hi,

If you are kicking the breaker when you turn it on, then you have a short somewhere....
The easiest way for you to find that problem will be for you to use an OHM meter and trace down the cause of the short...

With an OHM meter you be able to get to the bottom of the problem rather quickly...

Then fix the cause of the problem....

I have a mech power 2hp twin tank air compressor..m90002. It only generates to 120psi then shuts off. Can I get it to go up to 150psi? If so how? Thanks

It is what the max pressure is to handle before the safety valve can have if it concept is for 10 bar then you have a 10.5 bar safety valve or if its 8 bar its 8. . 8.5 look at the tank itself its in most case there you can read what it can handle.

When I plug my Magnum 2 HP 5 gallon compressor in, it blows out oil out of the red plug that you put oil in

Could be you are filling it too much, such as to the top of the oil hole instead of the bottom of the hole. I suggest you check the manual.

Perhaps the compressor isn't level or perhaps the crankcase breather is blocked or not working properly or perhaps there is too much piston blow-by for the breather to cope with.
Good luck!

Compressors fell on its side while running, when I noticed it was because I had lost air pressure. It runs, it's sounds alright button pressure in the the tank and the intake is blowing air out instead of...

You will most likely need to remove the head and check the reed valves. Sounds like the intake reed is leaking or pressure side is leaking back into the intake thru bad gasket. If reed is broken, you can make one from old feeler gauge, just cut to size. Good luck

My twin tank 2hp comp will run but pressure wont build up pass 20 lbs.

If the motor is working OK but pressure won't go over 20psi you may have an air leak but most probably have damaged piston rings or cylinder or the valve plate is damaged. Check to make sure the tank drain valve isn't open or that you don't have leaks in any of the air lines. If that's OK, you will have to remove the head from the cylinder to check the valve plate and piston/cylinder assembly. The reeds on the valve plate should be flat and not overly discolored (black or blued) from heat. If they are they can warp or get brittle and break. Since your compressor is oil lubricated it is rare for the piston/rings/cylinder to get damaged unless it's run with no oil so check those areas for scoring or damage like broken rings. Replace whatever is damaged and keep the oil full.

I have a 2hp twin tank IR compressor It will not fill more than about 20psi. And there is a spring loaded pressure cable on the outlet side of the head that doesn't close sir leaks from here as long...

From your description, it sounds like your problem is in the cylinder head(s). The fact that the air leak stops as soon as the compressor stops rules out the check valve at the tank. You will have to remove the head(s) and physically inspect the reed valves. Even one broken reed valve on the exhaust side can cause the air to be "cycled" inside the head, therefore not allowing it to go to the tank. I hope this is helpful to solving he problem. Please contact us again if the problem still recurrs.
