New Refrigerator / Freezer usually takes up to 12 hours to get the food down to temp and the inside air temps to stabilize...
Now, try explaining that to a BSN who is required to take hourly temp readings on a refrigerator and just loaded it half full of warm soft drinks and is opening and closing the door repeatedly retrieving supplies.
You lower the temp to "suit" (shut 'er up) and tomorrow they're calling you back because it's too cold...
hi there, there seems to be a technical error. call your repairman to have him take a look at the inside wiring before your food gets spoiled even more.
check the damper door between the freezer and refrigerator compartments,it most likely has frozen in the fully open position allowing cold air into refrige compartment all the time, you will see ice build up around the damper door unit, remove the door unit defrost, replace and then see if it moves when you change the refrige cold control
Move the frozen food into the refrigerator side and turn off the freezer. Leave the door open to help it thaw quicker. A blow dryer helps to speed things up. When the line thaws, turn the freezer back on and move the frozen food back over. I am curious why it froze. Was the freezer temperature set too low or has anyone been inside the door to move the water line or insulation???
You may have to open the door to let the dispenser thaw since it's in the door.
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it.There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
Hi, Change the controls back to normal settings. Make sure the freezer is getting 0 to 5 above. If the freezer is getting cold enough, try and turn the cold control to 1 and see if the refrigerator shuts off. It sounds like the cold control in not working properly and will need to be replaced. NOTE: The freezer temp has to be right temp or the fresh food side will not work proper. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
