Question about Televison & Video
I HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY SONY TRINITRON COLOR TV. I TRY TO TURN ON BUT I DONT HAVE NO PICTURE AND NO SOUND. IT HAVE A RED LIGHT FLASHING LIGHT ON THE FRONT OF THE TV. WHEN I TRY TO TURN ON IT TRY TO TURN ON BUT IT SHOOT OFF IMMEDIATELY. SO I DONT HAVE NO PICTURE AND NO SOUND, I ONLY HEAR LIKE A CLOCK AND THEM SHOOT OFF BY ITSELF.
What is happening is that the Shutdown Circuit is turning the TV off due to excessive current flow. The excessive current flow is most likely the result of a problem in the HV (High Voltage) section of your TV. This could mean that the Horizontal Output Transistor or the Integrated High Voltage Transformer has malfunctioned (developed a short circuit). I would advise that you let a qualified TV technician work on the set due to the nature of this problem.
I hope this helps,
