You need to set the clock. The timer is confused if it dose not know the time.

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

I have a quasar vv2007. I have no remote. I just connected the cable and ran channel search. It can find no channels and asks me to check the connection. The only thing out of the ordinary it seems to me...

If it is a combo unit with DVD/VCR as part of the TV the blinking green light means nothing --a stupid feature as even if set working perfectly it blinks.

Try to go into the menu and see if set is on CABLE or Air.

No signal could also mean the cable fitting on the rear of the set is damaged or loose OR the tuner in the set is bad.

Green light blinking

So the green light on the TV blinks, but the screen doesn't come on? The first thing I'd try (because it's free), is leaving the TV unplugged overnight. It may just need a discharge. If this does work, it'll take a couple minutes for the TV to come on afterwards. You may also want to try plugging it into a different outlet just in case the power level is wrong at that outlet. Beyond that, it could be the power supply or the main picture tube. Try what I suggested above, and if it doesn't work we'll look into it further.

I HAVE A QUASAR VV2008 TV/VCR COMBO AND I DONT HAVE REMOTE AND CANT GET TO NO CHANNELS EXCEPT 60 AND LINE

The remote model number for the Quasar VV2008 is VSQS1570 and can be ordered from Panasonic at 1-800-221-7262 or Go to a Family Dollar store and purchase the grey RCA universal remote for $6.00 about 6 inches in length. When you are ready to program it for the Quasar VV2008 push the code search button then the VCR button and enter 0162 then push enter. The red light should go off and the remote should turn the TV/VCR off and on. It worked for me 4/19/2013

How can i find remote control codes for my quasar tv

Hello
Three digit universal remote codes for Quasar TV are:
003/ 054/ 055/ 062/ 070/ 148/ 149/ 170/ 171

Four digit univeral remote codes for Quasar TV are:
0171 0148 0054 0170 0062 0374 0381 0003 0070

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand. NB: Switch OFF and switch ON your TV, WITH ITS FRONT PANEL POWER CONTROL SWITCH, each time before trying an other code.
OK.

We had power outage when power came back on power light goes on then starts blinking will not do anything have tape in player it wont play it or eject it

When you have power outtages you always want to have these eletronics in a surge supressor or simply unplugged.

I suspect your having a power supply issue, The power supply is inside the TV, I would not say its a fuse because you do have that blinking light.

1. try to unplug it and plug it back in

if that did nto work your going to need a tv repair shop. You do not want to open this unit if you do nto know how to repair it.

Thanks for your free question, Thanks for using fixya.com please be kind and leave a postive rating or feedback.

Need tv code for Quasar LSSQ0227 its a comcast

had this problem myself and I assure you that a) Comcast is populated by idiots without training, and b) that Quasar hasn't 'deliberately designed' their tvs to not work with Comcast remotes, which is what Comcast will tell you.
Solution: Add a 1 to the code, ie 10250, 10051 etc. Quasar is a 5 digit code, not 4 as Comcast believes.

Quasar VV-1302 13in TV/VCR unit. Remote stopped working

Test your remote by placing it in front of a video camera or web cam if you have one.. Press the buttons and watch the cam to see if you see the light coming from the remote.. The camera lens merely slows the light to a visable spectrum.. If no light your remote is not working... If light replace the sensor in the TV..
