Question about TruTech PVS12701 Portable DVD Player
My Trutech DVD player has sound when playing a DVD, but has no picture. It is only about 4 months old.
Unfortunately, 2% to 4% of consumer electronics are either defective on the store shelf (I got my TV home, plugged it in, and it wouldn't turn on) or they develop a defect during the warranty period or shortly thereafter. So, even though you just bought the unit two months ago, if you have sound but no picture, the unit needs to be repaired or exchanged.
As long as you have the receipt, you should still be in warranty since the shortest warranty for name brand electronics is 90 days from the date of purchase. Contact the manufacturer to obtain the warranty procedure. This will likely involve you sending the unit back to them at your expense and they will send you a repaired, refurbished, or new player.
If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may assist you better. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!
