SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Repairman can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Repairman (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: GE P7 Oven

I, too, have lost my manual and none of the timers work. I can never remember how long to run the clean cycle for, but will turn it off as it has been a little over 2hours and your post mentions 1.5hours.
I initiate the cleaning cycle by completing steps mentioned above and then turning the top dial (which has a clean range on it) clockwise until the clean light comes on. I then just time it by my watch to turn it all off. Then I wait a couple of hours before attempting to open the door. Don't forget to take the racks out, they are not suppose to go through the Clean cycle.
Good Luck,
Linda

SOURCE: GE P7 Wall oven had bad thermostat????

IF YOUR HEATING ELEMENT IS GETTING ORANGE HOT, AND CYCLING, I WOULD SUSPECT THE THERMOSTAT TO BE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. YOU MAY FIND IT HARD TO FIND ONE THOUGH DUE TO ITS AGE.

How can I check thermostste on GE P7 before buying new one

wow much to high to pay? it can be checked for continuity with an ohm meter. u can buy cheap meters for like 5 bucks or so. are u sure their trying to charge them much for a thermostat? maybe they thought u meant something else? if its getting way to hot u have a bad oven sensor? it to can be checked with a meter. When ur thermostat goes out due to overheating , the oven will not operate. thermal thermostats are not resettable. oven sensor is located near the back along the wall it thin and may have a glass look?

Installation instructions and manual

Most of the installation manuals for GE appliances are available on their support page: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/literature.htm . I found several double wall oven models with the JKP27 designation. However, the G0J4BG does not fit as part of the model number. There should be 4 letters after JKP27 in the model number. These letters primarily indicate the color of the exterior. For the JKP27 models, the installation manual says that the cut-out should be 32 1/2" above the floor. The depth has to be 23 1/2". The cutout width should be between 25" and 25 1/4" (these are an absolute minimum and maximum). The cutout height should be between 27 5/8" and 28 1/8".

The direct link to installation manual for one of these ovens is here: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=003675840.PDF . See page 6 for the cut-out dimensions.

I hope this helps.

Where can I buy an oven rack online?

You will first need to know what dimensions you need. I located a great site that sells a variety of sizes of racks - hopefully this helps http://www.kitchenstuff.com/items.asp?Cc=SP1010.

What year was the ge p7 wall oven manufactured? trying to find out the age of the oven.

I can go back to 1974-5 for mine, that's when my original Landlord bought the place and it still has the same GE P7 as when the complex was new...and it still works.
