SOURCE: NAD 370

Hi There is no circuit breakers inside. close to front panel on a left side under plastic cover is fuse (AGC type) . Before you change fuse look at four filter capacitors in the middle of unit!!! (close to power transformer on pcb) If they are white do not change the fuse and get unit to good service center( it must be someone who knows what they doing!!!) If the caps are different color (black ,purple) you can try to change fuse. Once again if capacitors are white do not use unit-fire hazard!!!! I'm long time service guy for NAD so trust me on this one Dariusz  dariusz70@verizon.net

This sounds like a problem with the protection circuit, and/or the speaker relays. More specifically, a capacitor within those circuits that is not behaving properly. I strongly suggest having it looked at ASAP.

Read page nine for some simple troubleshooting tips and see if that helps.

It *could* be a fuse but given you've owned it for a while and NAD amps often have capacitor issues in the power supply, chances are it needs some serious work by a good tech. Contact NAD directly and see what they recommend.

SOURCE: NAD C270 amp won't switch from red power/protection to green.

The AH may denote "slo-blo" style as opposed to Fast-acting
A fast-acting fuse will look like a single strand of wire ( maybe wiggly looking) ..A Slo-blo will have an element in it and a spring

SOURCE: my nad amp wont turn on - i've checked plug fuse so it must be something inside - was told it might not be worth fixing but i wuld like toknow what it is so i can at least decide. it's only 2 years ol

Yes it could be the internal fuse. If your lucky it might have just failed on it's own!

Check first if you got +68/-68V on amp module left and right on contact CZ302 and CZ402 pin 2 & 7. Often the -68V is missing. This is caused by faulty transistor Q713 in +68/-68V power supply. It's a 2SA872.

Nad c370 keeps switching off

Check the speaker wiring for shorts, a common problem. If everything checks out there may be bad solder joints on the main board especially in the output stage, or there is a fault in one or more driver transistors.

No power at all

im guessing you have opened up the case of the amplifer

look in the area where the ac plug plugs into the box.

you may have to remove some of the boards to get to it

the main internal fuse should be next to the place where you attach the ac plug

also check the main wire wires that go into the main board from the power supply check for voltage

Nad c 370 no power

You need to look inside. There will be a fuse inside too. If your lucky it will restore the amp once replaced, but if it blows again you have a fault. You can track it down yourself if your any good, you might even see a burnt out part when looking for that fuse, otherwise get the repairman in.

Myc370amp turns its self about 15seconds after turn on

Replace 3 capacitors on the protect printboard. (located near the outpt terminals) 50V electrolyt: 4,7uF, 47uf and 10uF. And move the big diode to the back of the printboard (the heat from the diode dries out the capacitors)

Work in 9/10 times ;)
