Re: No Picture on LG 50PC3D
No power? Unplug power cord- safety first!
check powersupply- top center right is p.s.
top left side of powersupply you'll see 5 capacitor 3300uF 10V.
see any pop up on top? replace it All with same rate or 16v is O.K.
do not use temperature rate 75c. Use 105C.
if you know how to solder. you could save $300 at least!

Easy solution; this is a very common problem. Connect Cable or satellite box / DVR directly to one of the TV HDMI inputs. Connect an optical audio cable from that box to receiver so sound is surround through your speakers. You cannot connect DVR directly to receiver because the anti pirating chip will shut off the picture and produce a green or no screen at all.
You can, however, connect a BD (Blu-Ray) player via HDMI cable directly to your receiver without that problem. Connect HDMI output from receiver to a second HDMI input on the LG.

Try to connect HDMI cable to any other supported devices, i.e: cable box, dvd/blue ray, etc and see what happen. If there is no difference, replace huge interface board, not the one with tuner on it, but to the left.
I would start by obviously checking all connections on the back of the tv. Sounds like maybe your Yellow RCA cable might have creeped out. Red and White RCAs are typically for sound and Yellow is for Video. Hope this helps
As you already checked PS3 and HDMI cable, select HDMI input in TV and connect PS3 via HDMI cable. TV should show PS3 picture. And if still no joy then HDMI input port in TV is bad and need to replace input board/ main board.
Check the menus for both the DVD and TV to be sure that the audio is being sent thru the HDMI cable. Some sets and DVDs will separate the audio from the video be default unless told to send it down the HDMI. Update this if that does not resolve the problem and post the make and model of all gear in the chain.
Have you tried another HDMI cable? The cable may be bad. However, if this is not the case and this is happening across mutliple devices(cable box, dvd player, etc) then you might have a bad HDMI input on your TV. Does this happen on all HDMI inputs on your TV? If you can safely rule out your other devices and the cable itself then you've got a main board problem and would need to get it replaced.
anytime you connect componet signal (green red and blue)to regular video inputs (yellow) end will have same effect. make sure that if you are using component signal from source(cable box,dvd player etc) you have to connected to component input in the set. component signal will use green red and blue for video and red and white for sound.
