Re: microphone not working
If you are facing the microphone issue, then you can try resetting the device.1.Power off the phone.2.Press and hold "Vol+", "Menu", and "Power" key until the phone goes to recovery mode.3.Use "Vol+" and "Vol-" to move the cursor up and down.4.Move cursor to "wipe data/factory reset", press "Back" key to select it.5.Now move cursor down to "Yes - delete all user data" and press "Back" to select it.6.The data will be erased.7.The cursor will be on "reboot system now" at the end, so just press "Back" key to reboot the phone normally. WARNING: All user data will be completely cleared; the phone will be in a factory reset status.

If your X3's microphone is working, you should be able to hear yourself in the headset when you talk into it. Plug the chat-controller cable in both the headset and the controller, then talk into the X31 mic. Can you hear yourself in the headset? If yes, then the microphone is OK but you probably need a new chat-controller cable. If not, then the microphone may be broken and you should contact Turtle Beach tech support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On the MacBook there is no microphone port, if you look closely, it is not a microphone plug, it is a line in plug. Line in cannot record sounds from a microphone without amplification. What I would recommend doing is purchasing this adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186035&cm_re=usb_audio-_-12-186-035-_-Product- With this adapter, you plug your headset and mic into it and then it plugs into the USB port on your MacBook. Then you can just unplug it from the USB port when you are done.
in skype go to tools>options>audio setting make sue the microphone is logitech and the green bars should start moving as you talk. if no logitech appears or the mic is not producing sound. call logitech for warranty info. if the mic is producing sound below is "make a free skype test call" to see if the program is transmitting.
If you can't hear other people it might have to do some router settings. I know you have to have the remote that comes with the original earphones. so plug headset into remote then plug remote into psp. I don't have the remote and I hear people but my mic doesn't work. Hope that helps.
