Remove the master that is on the drum. Then check the master roll remove it cut about 18 inches off then re install master roll. hit the reset, then print bottons.

D04-534 means incorrect ink cartridge set. This could be caused either
a) it IS the incorrect ink cartridge, or b) the RF tag that is struck to
the end of the ink bottle is damaged. Try a new ink bottle.
Make sure to use RISO ink designed and made specific for an RZ230.

I see that the error description is not very helpful. Seems that is a really fatal error.
