Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S2386 Notebook
Password required upon boot up of my laptop model(TOSHIBA Satellite a135-s2386). please send solution and procedure on how to disable password to my email address email@example.com. thanks in advance.
It happened to me, same computer, I called Toshiba and even tho the computer is not under warranty anymore, they sent me to their techs, they burn a couple of pins (i have no idea what that is) and that fixed it. we didn't even have to leave it at the shop.

I had the same problem. The is a problem with the bios and no password will work. This is a known issue at Toshiba you must contact them and send the computor back and they will repair free of charge. They will even send the postage paid shipping box. Took about two weeks.

A "Password ="
prompt may be displayed when the computer is turned on, even though no
power-on password has been set. If this happens, there is no password
that will satisfy the password request. If the computer is turned off
and back on again, it is very likely that the same password prompt will
appear. The computer will be unusable until this problem is resolved.
If the problem has not happened yet, you can prevent it from happening in the future by upgrading the BIOS to the newest version.
The occurrence of this problem on any particular computer is unpredictable -- it may never happen, but it could happen any time that the computer is turned on. If this problem does occur, it will be necessary to send the computer to a Toshiba Authorized Service Provider.
Resolution: If this problem has not yet occurred on your computer, download and install the latest BIOS version. Newer BIOS versions display a power-on password prompt only when a power-on password has actually been set via the BIOS Setup program.
The latest version of the computer's BIOS may be found at pcsupport.toshiba.com.

If the problem has already occurred on your computer, then please make arrangements with a Toshiba Authorized Service Provider to have this problem resolved. Toshiba will cover the cost of this repair under warranty until Dec 31, 2010.
