My xbox 360 won't connect to xbox live as a wireless connection. i am with talk talk.net. it was fine when i was a btinternet customer

You probably have to forward the proper port on the new router that talk.net gave you. Go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and look up your router for detailed instructions on how to accomplish this.

Xbox Live requires these ports to be open:
Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)

For video chat on Kinect:
1863 (UDP and TCP)

Im trying to connect to live and I connected to the internet but not xbox live

Xbox live requires some ports to be open on your router. Make sure the following ports are forwarded through your internet router to the IP address of the Xbox.
On Xbox's site below they have some instructions for the most common router manufacturers.

From the Xbox website: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/troubleshoot/kb/xbox-kb.aspx?kbid=908874
Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:
  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)
Note If you cannot chat with someone using Video Kinect, you might need to open port 1863 (UDP and TCP).

Xbox can't find network on PC.

the other persons tip is trash mines better ;)

you can go to your routers2_bing.gif website and enter it manually. Type 192.168.1.1 this might be it or try 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.100

when it shows your routers2_bing.gif info write it down and then put it in your xbox's network by entering it manually. btw the secondary DNS is just 0.0.0.0 if it doesn't give you two. the gateway2_bing.gif is just your routers ip address.

what else you can do is do port forwarding.
But the xbox is not a static ip address2_bing.gif so it'll change. what you can do is when it says to put your ip address in your xbox put all the numbers the same as the routers ip address BUT DON'T USE THE SAME LAST NUMBER! so like if your routers ip address is 192.168.1.1 you can use 192.168.1.23 i use 192.168.2.15 but you may not have the 2 in yours.

Motorola router nat not open for xbox live

Configuring the Firewall for Gaming
By default, the SBG900 firewall is disabled.
If, as recommended, you enable the firewall, refer to the game’s documentation to ensure that the necessary ports are open for use by that game.
The pre-defined SBG firewall policies affect X-Box LiveTM as follows:
LOW: XBox Live data can pass through the firewall. No user action is required.
MEDIUM or HIGH: To enable X-Box Live traffic to pass, you must configure:
• Choose Custom on the Firewall > POLICY — basic Page • UDP 88:88 and UDP/TCP 3074:3074 on the Firewall > POLICY — advanced Page
Configuring Port Triggers
Because the SBG has pre-defined port triggers for games using any of the following applications, no user action is required to enable them:
• DirectX 7 and DirectX 8 • MSN Games by Zone.com • Battle.net®
For a list of games supported by Battle.net, visit http://www.battle.net.
You may need to create custom port triggers to enable other games to operate properly. If you set custom port triggers and enable the firewall, you must customize the firewall to allow traffic through those ports.
To create custom port triggers, use the Gateway > PORT TRIGGERS — custom Page.

SB900 USER GUIDE
The motorola guide has more information relating to port triggers.
If you download the pdf file, go to page 27 for Firewall settings and Page 35 for Gaming Settings..
More indepth information is there.
Hope that helps
Mike

I am trying to get xbox live working on my xbox 360 console but I need to open some ports and I dont know how , how do I open the ports ? I need to open the port 3074 and I need yo use (UPnP) because I...

Okay so Here is the very simple solution. Go to your router page (192.168.1.254) and select Custom Services. Delete every port opening service you have made. Then Define a Custom Service lets just call it Xbox A and Open ports 80 - 65535 for TCP with the base host port 80 Do tthis twice for both TCP and UDP options. Enable the services on your Xbox (It needs to be Connected and have a static IP adress) It can take about 15 minutes to open all the ports to be patient. Your Xbox also needs to have a static IP adress. Lastly set the routers firewall on low and give it a shot. It worked for me!

contact the router company have them walk u through make sure these ports are open
If you have not already forwarded ports for your xbox through your router then that may be your problem.

The following ports must be available to your Xbox 360 console for Xbox LIVE to operate correctly:

  • TCP 80
  • UDP 88
  • UDP 3074
  • TCP 3074
  • UDP 53
  • TCP 53

    Xbox 360 NAT is strict

In order to make it open, Call xbox live customer support (1-800-4MY-XBOX) and ask them for the information necessary to solve your issue. They will give you information to be entered into your router's settings. Call your router company for assistance, or go to your router's setup. Go to Applications and Gaming. There should be a link for Port Range Forwarding. Enter the information given into the areas given. Save and powercycle all of the equipmant.

    Optimizing WGR614(v1) for xbox live

the normal port that requires opening in your router for xbox is TCP3074, you should just type the number in as if there are no options, although there should be, it may know that 3074 is a TCP port.
