Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: My Acer aspire notebook pc said boot mgr missing

Give this a try you probably have a mbr virus.

Download The following iso listed below. It is the latest version of the Kaspersky rescue disk. You need to burn it to a CD with a program like Imgburn (Which is also FREE like the iso file). Then you need to boot from the CD and run the scanner. It should fix you right up.

Kaspersky rescue cd download:

My toshiba notebook does not start windows, I just get a blinking dash.. When I press F2 when starting it gives me the Phoenix TrustedCore(tm) Setup Utility. Sometimes after a couple of months when I press...

The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB...

Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F2 key during boot. It must be listed. There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

Laptop opening up at phoenix securecore tiano setup. i dont know the password and i cant get into my laptop. what do i do

Hi fantailbllue...

Turn on your computer, go into safe mode by press the F8 key on top of your keyboard while starting up.
This will start you in the SAFE MODE.
Select Safe Mode.
From there, go into your User accounts and either delete the account and/or change the password
Be sure and write it down this time.
I would make a password boot disk/cd while you're at it that way if you lost the paper, you will always have a back-up on the disk/cd.
Please take time to rate me

This is the password to enter your bios, if you reboot, does happen again?

is there anything pressing on the keyboard or a stuck key?

to access the bios, you general have to press a specific key when you first power on the PC i.e [DEL] or [F2] or [F12]
