Question about Samsung UN39EH5003 39-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LED HDTV [UN39EH5003]
Hi there Every now & then my new Samsung LED tv (Series 5, 5003, 39 inch) flickers while I'm watching something. It goes black for a few seconds & then the picture returns. Also, when the picture returns, it goes back to the "dynamic" picture setting when I had it on "standard". I would appreciate it if someone could help with this issue as well as how I can keep the picture setting on "standard". Thanks.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

sure, lcd tvs need to be tweeked depending on the light in the room the darker the worse the picture. so try this
picture: 85 to 95 %
brightness: 45% or adjust the black of the video to the black of the pilar bars to equilize them.
color: 32 to 38% or until the flesh tones are not so hot
sharpness: low 10%
tint: always to center
color temp: cool1
back lamp ( if avalible) low when lights are dim, high when lights are bright.
the problem with LCD is they don't look so good with dark sceens. the contast ratio is very low. natively 3000:1 aas compaired to plasma or other direct view TVs. the LCD is back lite and the thin materal of the LCD can not completely block the back light from coming thru. there for the complete "black screen" is illuminated "blue". the best thing is to keep the lights on bright in the room for the best picture.

The set was a store demo, and the options were set so they could not be adjusted. On instruction from Samsung I pressed MENU and VOLUME buttons on the side of the set and hold for 7 seconds The display reverts to Standard from Dynamic. The Remote Options button showed Store Demo, but now shows Standard. All memory functions seem to function now. Thanks for your help.

Your TV is in DEMO-STORE MODE.
Go to menu, find Plug & Play option, start it, and when asked, select Home Mode, than Enter and than just Exit.
Enjoy Your TV!
