I have a LG 50 INCH TV,BUT DONT HAVE A REMOTE FOR IT ,...CAN I USE MY OLD TVS REMOTE TO TURN IT ON,IT WAS A SAMSUNG TV.

I have a 42inch LG plasma TV. It has a 4 inch wide stripe on the right side from the top to the bottom that is all different colors and goes from the topto the bottom.

Mainboard damaged and need to be replaced, try EBAY for a general picture of prices but you will need your product code wich is located in the back of the TV next to serial number.

Most of the time it is the Main Board in the TV that the sensor plugs into. They have had many issues with this Board causing this problem. To be sure, you will need to call a professional.

please follow the steps below with you sky remote:

TV
RED + SELECT (hold these down until it flashes twice)
TV
0056

Try the volume button if this works then press SELECT. If it does not work then press TV again then try the volume ( repeat this step until the volume works. Dont forget to press the SELECT button to save the code to the remote.

This should sort you out. Please leave a thumbs up when you get it working.
