Question about Nokia 6236i Cellular Phone

Phone to PC bluetooth connection fails

I just got a Nokia 6085 and a bluetooth dongle for my PC. I installed the dongle, paired my phone with the PC and it worked fine, I was able to transfer some ring tones from the pc to the phone and I was very happy with the setup. Later the same day when I connected to the pc it would only last a minute and then I'd get a disconnect message. Now when I try to connect it immediately says connection failed.
I have rebooted the pc, turned the phone off & back on but nothing seems to work. I am running Windows XP Pro w/SP3, the dongle is a Targus ultr mini.
Im pretty upset that I just dropped money on a dongle and only got a couple of hours worth of bluetooth use out of it.
Any suggestions? I am totally new to bluetooth so please make any answers as simple as possible :)

After pairing if you answer cell phone calls on cell, the bluetooth will drop....you must delete pairing and then add it back and remember to answer only on house phone while they are paired.....

Usb dongle is not working

Step 1:
A Bluetooth dongle is an external Bluetooth device used to enable your PC's Bluetooth connection. Many Bluetooth dongles come without installation disks since the software is pre-programmed into the actual USB stick. These Bluetooth dongles are very useful on netbooks that don't have Bluetooth connection, since netbooks have no CD-Rom drives. Turn on your PC. Insert the USB Bluetooth dongle into the USB port on your desktop tower, or the USB ports located on the perimeter of your laptop. Wait for the program to auto run. Once you connect your dongle, the driver program should launch. Follow the onscreen prompts to install the dongle. A dialogue box should open that says "Installing Drivers" from the taskbar. Allow the driver to install completely before closing the box. Unplug the dongle and restart your PC. Once the PC has been switched on, insert the dongle. Double-click "My Bluetooth Places." This is the Bluetooth icon located in your taskbar, and it should launch the "Initial Bluetooth Configuration Wizard." Click "Next" on the first screen. Next, type in the name of your computer and select your computer type from the drop-down menu, then click "Next." Click "Skip" on the onscreen prompts, then finish. Pairing the Devices Turn on your external Bluetooth device. Double-click "My Bluetooth Places." Select "Find Bluetooth Devices." The name your Bluetooth device should display in the next window. Right click the icon for your Bluetooth device, and scroll down to "Pair Device." Enter the Bluetooth pin code for your external device in the "Bluetooth Pin Code Request" pop-up window. Then click "OK." The default pin code is normally "0000" or "12345." You can find your pin code in your user manual. If you are pairing a cell phone to your PC, you will have to enter the same pin code on your cell phone to establish the Bluetooth connection.

I am pairing my bh 214 with my hp dv3 window7 it paired but giving response that driver is not installed

Tool; CSR bluetooth dongle 2.0, got from store for only $2.50.
Install Toshiba Bluetooth stack v7.00.10(T) driver Win7x64 (search in google to download the installer). from OFF state of your BH-214, press power button until LED flashes quickly,do not release the button yet, stay press until LED flashes red & blue alternately slowly. On ur PC,->Add new device, then your PC would detect BH-214 as headset. Work fine with my BH-214 to connect with PC through BTooth dongle (A2DP 1.2 (btooth audio profile) & AVRCP (player navigation control profile)) & at the same time with my phone (HFP, HandsFree profile).

Pairing with a motorola bluetooth device

Hello, Barb.

Here are some instructions from the manual:

To set up a Bluetooth connection, do the following:
1. Select Menu > Settings >
Connectivity > Bluetooth.

2. To activate or deactivate the Bluetooth function, select
Bluetooth > On or Off.
Indicates an active Bluetooth connection.

3. To search for compatible Bluetooth audio devices, select
Search for audio enhancements and the device that you want to connect to the phone.
To search for any Bluetooth device in range, select Paired
devices. Select New to list any Bluetooth device in range.
Scroll to a device, and select Pair.

4. Enter the Bluetooth passcode of the device to associate (pair)
the device to your phone. You must only give this passcode when you connect to the device for the first time. Your phone connects to the device, and you can start data transfer.

Hope this helps.
