Re: lost video

How did you look on the pictures? You connected the camera using USB or do you have a card reader? Anyway, look into the card/camera for example using windows explorer (and not any specialized software for camera), so that you will see all folders and files there. When it says the card is full, it should be there, maybe in different folder. Maybe the file was deleted by camera (but then it shouldn't report the card as full), in that case search google for software to restore it: camera undelete

Canon 40D playback on viewfinder flashes all white to black. On a wedding gown it is horrible on playback to review.

You're seeing blown-out highlights. These are the portions of the image that have been overexposed so much that all details have been lost and gone pure white. Usually this is a bad thing, and the camera is warning you of it. The proper fix is to reduce the exposure to bring back some of the details. If you simply want the camera to stop the flashing, see page 117 of this manual.

I couldn't re format my card and it seems like it stop working as well. How could I fix this problem?

Check your SD card on the PC and if this is not detected then it is possible that the card is damaged. Unless the internal memory of the card is accessable by the PC , it cannot be formatted. If there is warranty claim for a replacement.

I don't known what i did, i couldn't find my pictures in the sd card, if i deleted them. can i replace them? please help me, thank you!

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

you can recover photos from camera with asoftech photo recovery software, download the software from

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Hey my Olympus 230 digital camera seems to have deleted my photos, a message appeared on the camera "picture error", just wondering how I can get them back??

All the download links listed in the article are through CNET, primarily to verify that these are malware free software, and to give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.

It stops recording by itself!

Two possible causes...your card is not a class 6 or better...card needs to be optimized by formatting it in the camera. This will erase it so download any pics first.

Greetings love2ride,

On most point and shoot digital cameras, there is an icon that looks like a movie camera. Simply turn the dial to this icon, point and press the shutter button! Review the video in the same way you review your digital photos.

Thank you!
