Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver

1 Answer

Not too computer literit. Tomtom has taken me to a bridge that has been closed for a year. Tried an address and it took me to an open field(twice). Purchased it in Dec. '08 i would think it would have updates on closed bridges. Pull up to a home and it tells me i still have 85 yards to go, or 10 yards to reach destination.

From the navigation screen (first one you normally get after power on) touch the map part of the screen; more options (right arrow); Map corrections; Correct a map error; (Un)block a street; On Map; find the bridge on the map and touch that location; Done; touch Eastbound; touch Westbound (or similar words) so they now indicate as blocked; Yes (confirm change is permanent).

The Satnav should no longer use that bridge in attempting to calculate a route.

Hope that helps.

I tried to add an email account in my Google acct, but when I fill in the email field, a prompt message says it's taken by another Google account. What gives?

When you fill in the email field you need to select the new email address you are trying to add. If it says that name is taken then it is either taken by your or someone else using that email address.

I have the wireless -G music bridge (model WMB54G) - I had forgotten the password so I reset it - Now, my computer will not recognize it - any suggestions?

The Linksys Wireless-G Music Bridge (WMB54G) has a web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.
Step 1:
Open a web browser.

Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your router's IP Address, then press [Enter].

NOTE: The default IP Address of a WMB54G is 192.168.1.210.

NOTE: If the IP address of the WMB54G has been changed, type the WMB54G's new IP address in the Address bar instead.

The WMB54G's IP address can be changed by:

    • Running the WMB54G's setup CD.

    • Changing it on the WMB54G's web-based setup page.

If you forgot the WMB54G's IP address you can:

  • Press the Reset button underneath the antenna for 30 seconds.

NOTE: This procedure will reset the WMB54G to factory defaults. Any settings on the Music Bridge will be erased. The Music Bridge's IP address will be 192.168.1.210and the password will be "admin" after resetting.

Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank, type "admin" in the Password field, then click OK.

NOTE: If the password of the WMB54G has been changed, type the Music Bridge's new password in the Password field instead.

TomTom 930 goes crazy in driving mode!

I had a similar problem and ran a business card around the edge of the screen between the face and the bezel. This seems to have remedied the problem and I have only had to do this twice in the past year. Hope this helps.

Bridge RCA Thomson DCM315R

Hi,

Usually cable providers provide public ip directly to your company ( already bridged ). so no need to configure your modem to bridge.
- Connect the computer directly to the modem and if possible, let me know the ip address of your PC, So we can find the modem already bridged.
- If its already bridged, then Open the ports on your Router ( port number : 3389 for TCP ) or else you may try DMZ Host on your router to check whether it works.

Note:
DMZ ( Demilitarize Zone ) host which opens all ports on your network and shows ur computer to the outside Network which is not really secured one. but you can try it for testing purpose whether it let you to use remote desktop.

Hope this will help you
