After replacement of batteries, universal remote controls, need to have setup with the device, using device codes. Just find out the setup code for Admiral TV, and setup the remote with it. Setup proceedings, and code lists are given in detail in this site. 'Electro-help' is the site name. Type in 'electronicshelponline.blogspot' in your browsers' search box, and click search. It is a blogspot site in English language. Pull up older posts there. You can get all details you want from here. If you want further assistance from me, inform me by Fixya.
The first thing I would do, if you haven't already, is replace the batteries in the remote. The lights will still illuminate if the batteries are low but won't perform the remote functions. If that doesn't fix the problem, the remote may need to be readdressed to the receiver. I have provided the steps below. If you have further problems, please respond to the site.
Remote: All Other Remotes
Go to System Info screen
Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
Press the pound (#) button
Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will
appear in the System Info screen under Remote
you need to open the cover of your remote control..visually inspect the PCB for any loose connections/cracked board specially the battery terminals...solder any loose connections and if nothing happens replace the crystal oscillator from the remote control it is a square, color orange sometimes blue with a label on it its clock speed in MHZ. it is available at electronics supply store..you can use the camera of your cellphone to test whether the remote is working by just pointing the camera to the LED at the top of your remote once you press a button from the remote the LED should lit...means your emote is working...3rd test the LED/infra red if it is not busted..remove the LED INFRA RED from the pcb and using a multitester analog supply.set the tester to X1 range then supply the terminals positive negative with the test probe there should be a continuity connection and the LED should be lit.
Hi First thing to do is check your remotes by aiming them at a camera or the camera on your mobile phone then pressing any button you should see the led on the remote light up white, If this happens then your remotes are ok and you would then need to look further into the problem. I would suggest the remote sensor in the tv being short or you may need a replacement AV board (the one that has the inputs and scart sockets are on ) Hope this info helps
sandraw, try disconnecting the tv from the ac outlet for a few seconds(20-30) and reconnect and then try your remote, in your description you do not mention if this remote is the original equipped remote that came with the tv, but i am guessing it is since it is a fairly recent model. You also don't mention if the tv works with the function keys(pow,volup/dn,chn up/dn etc)this also might point out to wether there is damage to the ir preamp board, a bad preamp board would also impair the overall function of the remote as well as the customer selection from the built in function keys. hope this helped and please leave your positive feedback, if i answered your question.thanks!
First you will need to research your vehicles under-dash wiring schematic to identify your object wires, color code and function. The schematic may be found in a Y.M.M.(year,make & model) specific, electrical wiring manual. A related search on the internet, or at your local auto dealerships parts department. Then cross-reference and record your vehicles color coded leads to the remote starts color coded leads with respect to their function.
