Normally, when a fan starts making a lot of noise, especially at start up, it is because they are clogged with dust and are having a hard time getting up to speed or a bearing is failing.

My netbook ec1440u restart inesperadily, works fine but sometimes hung up and reboot the system. What can be? Thank you.

In my experience, that tends to happen with a corrupted driver. I would see if there are any updated drivers on the manufacturer's website. (likely problems could be with video or network adapter drivers....or check to see if it happens any time you use a certain peripheral, like a USB drive or something) try to identify if there is a common thing you are doing when the freezing happens. If it happens when you do something like plug in a USB drive, it's likely the proper driver for the device is not loading properly. You may want to go to the device manager and uninstall a driver (do only one at a time) and see if Windows can reload it with plug and play after the next reboot.

Try starting your PC in Safe mode if you have trouble uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, by hitting the F8 Key as you boot up the machine to bring up the menu.

My gateway MA1 laptop running win xp has cooling problems

Contact GATEWAY, and get them to fix your laptop.
The fan is designed to run at "full-speed" when you first turn it on, and then there are temperature sensors that slow the fan down, to minimize noise, while the computer is "cool" enough that the fan does not need to run. The sensor is malfunctioning, and is not turning-on (or turning-up) the fan when the computer gets "warm".

Gateway 7510GX CPU Fan noise

If this is a brand new laptop it would be still under warranty.
I suggest returning it to the supplier for repair under warranty because if you attempt to repair it you could void your warranty.
You should only attempt repairs after the warranty has expired.

Check places like TigerDirect.com or Newegg.com. They have high quality laptop cooling fans & should be able to help you find one that is better than the stock fan at a better price. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Loud noise

Typical problem in most computers, the fan is experiencing a "burn out." This means there is either something caught in the fan causing it to create noise, or the motor is going bad. there are two fixes for this problem.
1) open you computer's case according to its manual and remove the system cooling fan and give it a thorough cleaning.
2) you may need to replace the cooling fan with its recommended replacement model.

Hope this helps!
