Question about Dell OptiPlex GX260 PC Desktop

1 Answer

No sound. I've downloaded the correct drivers directly from Dell. The InstallShield Wizard runs. At the end it says driver not found, please reboot. When I reboot, I still don't have any sound. I run InstallShield Wizard again, and again it says driver not found, please reboot. Can someone help?

Did you try and let Widows 7 try to fix the problem. It usually does or gives you the results. I assume you checked all your connections and tried rebooting your modem and router and then the pc. Let me know by giving me some more information about the problem. Thanks for using FixYa

I've produced the link for the download, but firstly remove the audio driver and reboot before trying to reinstall the drivers. Make sure you have very little applications running in the background before trying this.

Ethernet driver for dell dimension 4600

Hi stefyboy - Below is a link where you can download your driver. After you get to the page just make sure it says Windows XP as the operating system. Then scroll down and click on the + next to where it says network. You want the intel 10/100 driver. I've included a few a ways to install it. If your kinda new to this the easiest is the download to desktop method and just remember where it unzipped it to, you can always move it to a driver directory where you can keep all your drivers for the future.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_P4_4600&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If not, DO NOT RATE YET. Just add a comment letting me know what happened and I'll be glad to assist you further. Thanks.
