If the magnet is cracked, there is a good possibility that the gap for the voice coil is compromised. This speaker can not be repaired economically. Replace it.

Hi, I got Akai ss800,HT, i would like to know the Ohms & Watts of the subwoofer speaker, Thanks.

That should be 4ohms at 100W.
If you need to replace the subwoofer there may actually be a sticker on the magnet when you remove the old one.

Does anyone know the actual airspace requirements for sealed and ported enclosures on these speakers? Please no idiots building cube boxes need to respond!

For optimal performance there is really only one size for the box .Firstly, you get two different types of subwoofers, an open air, or closed air sub. If it is an open air sub ( hole with mesh in the center of the magnet) no ports are required, and the box should be sealed on the inside with silicone sealant. If it is a closed air sub ( no hole in the magnet) you need a 50mm port about 120mm long. Box size will be 11 inches x 11 inches x 11 inches. Hope this helps

No sound through speakers i want to have my aw1206t audiobahn fixxed

Are you hooking it up to an appropriate power source? Are you hooking up the power to the power and the ground to the ground, Is the speaker in a box or car panel, if so you may need to take it out to look at the outlets built onto the outside of the speaker to make sure they are not damaged or broken. Other then that the only other thing you can really check is if the bottom of the speaker is still magnetic. If there are any cracks on the actual speaker and when you lightly push it in do you get an audible bump sound.

How do u remove the P2 magnet cover? it says in the manual its removable

If you have the 2004-2006 model P2's the cover actually pulls right off, it is held on magnetically.

2007-2008 you break off the silver piece (pole vent cover?) that says RF on it. its glued in. then the actual cover itself is screwed in.

Hope this helps.

Why do some subs have a double stacked magnet

Think of the magnets on the sub as a engine, more magnets like an engine means more power, that relates to stronger push/pull on the speaker gainning more travel, quicker response, tighter more stable, cleaner bass, remember though that needs a better stronger amp to take advantage of all that speaker has to offer, have fun and good luck!

My magnet cracked on my jbl sub woofer can it be fixed

You might be able to get the manufacturer to replace it. Sub woofer repair is possible and some manufactures do offer that service, you'll have to check with them though. There is one other thing to consider- does it still work? If so you might be in luck. The magnet is there for its magnetic feild not how it looks. So if the magnetic field is un-affected and the voice coil is in one piece and un-obstructed it should be just fine. If the field is slighty out of place or not as strong it will probably affect its performance though. Good luck.
