Question about Seagate (ST39204LC) 9.1 GB Hard Drive
The model number ST 3200820A
Code for drive 0000
The computer acknowledges that it has found the HD but also says on the screen that there is no HD ???
Ok,,now it is clearer.
Have you formatted the drive? this is something you must do to get it ready for your PC to see it and for windows to load on it.
Use an older win98se bootdisc and then use fdisk to format the drive.
You may have a problem formatting a drive so large though, because your machine may not be able to see a drive that large.
So if you come up against this, you can partition the drive with multiple partitions of say 40 gigs to load an operating system on.
Let us know how you get on.. :-)
