Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Trouble loading video to mp4 player

I have a Naxa Electronics ''NX-142'' it is not listed in their catalog but the same model with less memory is. I have the 4 GB version. I have already converted the video to amv format. I can load music files from windows media player but that is it. The WMP does not recognize the amv format so I cannot sync the video from there. I had been right clicking on the amv file and using the send to command but the option, ''send to removable device'', is not there anymore. Windows is recognizing the player as an ''Actions MTP Device 000001'' and before it was just recognized as removable storage and it work fine with the send to command.

Need driver for naxa nx-142 mp3 player

So I got in contact with Naxa's customer support and was able to get the driver file. They emailed it, so I hosted it on mediafire:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/uyu4jnf2vqt/win98%20driver.zip
Feel free to scan it for viruses, but it should be clean, since I got it straight from the manufacturer.
Hope it helps!

How do i put movies on the NAXA NX-142?

The NAXA NX-142 came with a miniature CD you must use the CD to install the software called AMV converter to your computer. Then run the AMV converter with the NX-142 plugged into the USB port. You can then convert certain videos like WMV files into AMV files which can be automatically uploaded to the NX-142 be sure to choose to upload the videos into the MOVIED subdirectory to help keep things organized on the NX-142 The AMV converter will allow certain settings to be selected. The manual is helpful but the printing is so small that I can't read it even with glasses.
Good Luck

Nx 142 4gb memory wont go past loading screen.

I would first plug the unit into the computer and make sure that the unit is fully charged. After that, check to make sure that there are folders, with content (mp3s, videos or pictures) to make sure that the unit has something to load in the first place. If there are and the files don't exceed the maximum capacity of the unit you are most probably dealing with a defective unit. I bought my naxa mp3 player from jujudeals.com so it comes with a 30 day warranty, however I'm pretty sure that the unit itself comes with a 90 day manufacturers warranty, in which case you would have to contact naxa. Either way, you probably shouldn't worry, just get it replaced.

Mp3 player naxa nx 124

I have found that mine looses it's memory due to a dead battery. I have to connect it to a pc, format the player just like you would format a usb thumb drive. When you power it back on, it will flash the memory and rebuild the play list. Sometimes, it will loose my music, but all I have to do is load them back out to the player. It's kinda a hassel, but I don't care because I change the songs on it on a regular basis anyway.
