Question about BenQ Projector Lamp for MP610
Upon turning on, the power light flashes green for about 30 seconds then the fan kicks on and it sounds like it's about to turn on and then power light flashes orange for another 30 second and then the fan shuts off and the power light then starts flashing green again and then it switches back to flashing orange and the lamp indicator turns solid red, according to the manual this lamp event says to see a dealer. i don't really want to pay for something that's going to cost $100 to fix.

Have you resetted the lamp timer ? It must be done when a new lamp is inserted into the unit.
You can reset the lamp timer by holding the up arrow key on the Projector in until a online message appears. Then just follow the on-screen instructions.
If the problem persists , you will have to replace the Ballast wich is the lamp's power supply.

I replaced a Mainboard on a BenQ PB6210 just yesterday - had all the same symtoms.
No LED lights coming on but the rest of the buttons has light.
Tried every other component from the lamp to the colourwheel , but the Mainboard replacement fixed it in the end.
You'll be looking at about $95 for the part

you can go to the BenQ website and download a manual for your particular projector. It should tell you what the lights indicate.
