I'm having a problem with my Emerson Model #EWD2202 VHS/DVD combo. When playing tapes (either pre-recorded or homemade) some of the tapes will start popping and distorting very badly, making it impossible to watch the tapes. I've noticed that this problem is more prevalent on 8-hour tapes, so I've stopped using them for the most part, but it does also occur on 6-hour tapes. I've tried cleaning the heads on the VCR, but this hasn't solved the problems. It isn't the tapes because I'm able to play them on the other VCR in the house without a problem. Could somebody please help? This is incredibly annoying.
