1 Answer

First post is misleading...sorry..not one pin bent bb.but none were bent (typo) sorry

Whenever I turn on the monitor i get no video images. I do get the OSD (On Screen Display) Menu. Which shows me the Resolution/s of which the Pc video card is sending. If i switch resolutions in the Control Panel it shows that it has been Changed But still no video images. I checked to see if any pins were bent ..but.. NONE of them are. I tried this Monitor on numerous Computers with the same result/s. I am stumped. It is a lovely monitor.

It could be the monitors invertor board has gone bad. Call a local computer shop and tell them you need a new invertor board for your monitor and see what they say. Write me back and let me know.

My acer desktop turns on and beeps with no picture

>make sure your video cable is plugged in on both sides.
>make sure your video cable has no bent or damaged pins.
>try a different video cable
>connect a different monitor that you know for sure works
>take YOUR monitor and connect it to a different computer Does it work? If no, the monitor is bad. If yes, either your video cable is bad or the video card in your computer has failed.
If none of the above work, I hang out at
which is a free computer help forum. Post in the Hardware section and I (or someone else) will be along. This forum is not set up for complicated problems that require repeated, in-depth communication.

My monitor's backlight flickers whenever switched on....please help me.

You need to do two things. First, switch out your monitor input cord (the blue one) and get a new one. If you don't have a new one, then unplug both ends and make sure none of the pins are bent or broken. Then plug and screw in completly. If that doesnt work, google your monitors name and drivers, and redownload the drive for it. It should take you through a repair proccess which should fix it

Screen turns green. another monitor works fine on same computer

check the pins on the monitor cable to be sure none of them are bent. If the pins look fine then the screen is bad.

The monitor is green the color is not

Check the pins out on the monitor and make sure they are straight, even and none of them are bent cause if the cable goes in with bent pins that would cause weird colors to come up on the screen.

Also make sure its connected to the video card properly as well and snug. If that still doesn't fix it, try another known working monitor on the computer and if that works then the lcd is bad on your original monitor, if you still get green even with a new monitor then its a problem with your video card.

Samsun15'' monitor (2003 model) crt monitor appearing fully green

Sounds like the red guns aren't firing. Check the pins on the VGA cable to make sure that none are bent. Also plug in a different video card (or plug the monitor in to a different computer). If the monitor is fine, then you need to replace the video card.

If they aren't, you're looking at a fairly expensive repair.

Why is my monitor screen changing colours. Goes green and blue. Also wavers making it very hard to look at.

Check the cable connections on the back of the computer and make sure none of the pins are bent on the cable , also check the same connection into the monitor and that none of those pins are bent either , it may be as simple as buying a new cable.

    No Video

Did you take the monitor out and put it back in before the pin was bent? Or did it just all of a sudden blank out.

Screen is not clear ( red color is not there)

Check the cable for kinks at either end. VGA cables that are bent at a 90degree angle for lon periods of time become damaged. The next step is to remove cable from computer and check the pins for damage. A bent pin from accidental force from inserting and seating connector can catch a pin and contact with another pin or ground. If none of these conditions exist, consider monitor replacement. I would try another monitor to rule out the video card as well.
