SOURCE: i have a craftsman 55cc

Flooding is caused by a plugged air cleaner, or lack of control by the diaphragm in the lower chamber of the carburetor. Usually, the diaphragm becomes hard or cracks and is unable to regulate the fuel volume in the lower chamber. There is also a needle valve in the lower chamber which the diaphragm controls that can become defective. Go to: for a 12 page article on Walbro brand carburetor theory and troubleshooting. This applies fairly well to other carburetor brands as well. Hope this helps!

I don't know if this will help you but I have found in the past that craftsman and black & decker small power tools used the same switches. Hope this helps you. Thanks

I need a new gas tank for craftsman mower ltx1000 but I have no model number

It was probably made by poulan. A poulan dealer will have a cross reference and they can get you one.

Go to and type in your model number for a parts breakdown. Also you can check this on YouTube. Sometimes there are some good videos on there for these types of issues.

Need a manual for a 14" Craftsman electric chain

Use model number 315.34020 which is the same saw w/o power sharp. In fact the 34030 model is mentioned in this manual. I haven't found anything relating to the 34030 model specifically. Oregon products is able to cross reference the saw and find parts for it (less the power sharp feature.)

Yes. If you go to this website it will cross reference between Craftsman and Chamberlain/Liftmaster.

Chain oil pump does not work when pumped. Eager ****** MAC 100 series

Your Eager Beâver model number is 600016. There are many prefixes and suffixes. The one below I used when repairing a similar problem with my Mac 110 (earlier version of your saw). Both the automatic and manual oilers work now.

I get the best results for new McCulloch parts here:
This is a little complicated so I am going in small steps.

M & D Mower
Click “Illustrated Parts Diagrams ON LINE”
Click “Click Here for Parts Lookup”
Changes to “Select OEM” Window reads “Briggs & Stratton ▼” Click the arrow and select “McCulloch Power”
Click “Gasoline-Powered Chain Saws”
Click “18-600016-27”
There is a shipping and handling charge from M & D (about $9) if all parts in same container only one fee.

See “General Assembly” print
Item 33; pn 85557; Oiler body; most likely failure, on bottom of Item 31
Item 31; pn 217755; manual oiler piston; It pulls through the top of the tank. I ordered a new one but got Item 36, they were the same pn, I complained, seems they fixed it.

See “Powerhead Assembly” print
Item 07; pn 219989; oil pump assembly
Item 04; pn 217168; pump/bar pad connector (hose)
Item 05; pn 217167; pump/oil tank connector (hose) The new one was to long, I used the old hose. I have an earlier model.
Item 17; pn 110653; O-ring

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa and Good Luck. HTH

I have a 1998 cb250 (nighthawk)and need the code (item no.) no. of spark plug to be used. (Denso, champion) Thank you

Below are the stock plugs used by the factory. Both NGK and Denso plugs were used. You would need a cross reference chart to go to a Champion plug. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

I have a new 18'' craftsman, couldnt resist the price 42 cc, but i want a bigger chain, it has a standard 3/8 small chain for trimming branches, I know to do this will require a different bar and sprocket...

Many time the big chain stores (like Sears, Wal Mart, etc.) will have products made to their own specs (re:cheaper), which makes getting replacement parts difficult at best and impossible at worst. Another reason they do this is so that you won't be able to find the exact same model elsewhere at a better price and force them to match or beat it. It's entirely possible that if you can't find the longer bar & chain at Sears, you won't find it anywhere.
