The orientation of your projector can be setup from the "Option" menu. You may need to select the "FRONT" and "CEILING" options to display the correct orientation of the image.

Projector screen upside down

Check the settings for image alignment. You may have to look for the vertical and horizontal image settings.
This could be because the default is table mount and you may have mounted on ceiling.

Hi, Your projector is probably set for ceiling mount which will project an upside down image because the projector is normally mounted upside down when installed on the ceiling. Go into the menu and select extended then select projection then select front. That should return the image to right side up.

I have a Panasonic PT-LM2U; when it is turned on, everything powers up fine but the image projected is upside down. I've looked through the menu but didn't see an option for flipping or rotating...

Every modern projector that I have seen has a setting that will allow you to flip the image for this.If you purchased it used it was probably configured as a ceiling mount in an upside down orientation or rear projection onto a translucent screen. (The projection method can be set from the "OPTION2" menu. in a Model LM1 so it should be similar.

If yours doesn't have this option, then you'll have to use mounts that require the projector to be upside down.

I want to attach a Vivitek 650HD projector to a ceiling mount, but am not sure if I mount it upside down. There doesn't seem to be a "flip" function to flip the picture.

I am 99% sure most projectors are mounted upside down. There should be a way to simply flip the image electronically via the option menu.

In most projector OCD menu (keep in mind you may want to do this before mounting), under the "Installation" or "Initial Installation" section should be an option about Projection mode/method. The options should allow you to pick front, rear, ceiling, or ceiling+rear. This sets the project to know when it will be in front of the screen, behind it, and/or attached to the ceiling (which it knows will be upside down). Then you simply set it to ceiling, mount the projector, and finish your other adjustments as needed.

Casting image lower on wall

I don't know the model number for your projector, but most projectors are designed to place the image level with the bottom of the projector, which works great for tabletop mounting but not so great for ceiling mounts.

If you're mounted at ceiling height, try turning the projector upside down to see if it places the image in the right place on your screen. If that fixes it, then use the on-screen menus for your projector to flip the image and you should be all set.

How do i mount my hopper projector sv 10 to the ceiling

Yes it should be mounted upside down as you would not want to see the bottom of the projector all the time, unless the bottom is as good looking as the top, which I doubt. I wonder if you bought or got a ceiling mount rack with it. First mount the rack on the ceiling and then fasten the projector to it. And before that its picture has to be turned upside down too.
