Question about Philips 32PF7320A 32 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

My 37" LCD Philips TV has mind on its own.

I had it for almost a year. And only right in time for Christmas this nightmare started. TV goes in this uncontrollable modes when it wont respond on remote control and would start playing with all functions on TV, volume, contrast, brightness & etc. up and down, changing channels, changing all settings.
Is there any way I can reset this TV to factory setting, may be that might help? Thank you in advance for help.

Sounds like you either have a defective LCD panel, LCD panel tab connection, or a LCD to T-con faulty connection. Does tapping or squeezing the left side of the TV change anything?

My tv comes on, but the left side is black & after about 20 mins. the whole screen goes black. you can still hear it, but just dont have a picture. it a philips 47 in. 7422D-37

Unplug the television, wait for 60 seconds. Then re-insert plug into the
mains socket and turn on the television again.

Your TV has a protective mode in case there is too much heat build-up.
Verify the clearance around the vents of the device to be certain there
are no blocking walls or cabinets which would limit the air flow.
If all above are OK, check the back light inverter board. For more details, visit this site 'Electro-help". It is an electronics equipments service help site. Google for it.

Blinking red lights

If your TV is less then a year old, i would suggest to call the vendor or manufacturer to have the LCD repair under warranty. Most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
The failure of your LCD is not related to any fuse since you're still getting some lights from it.
Good Luck.
