Question about Pioneer PDP-5080HD 50 in. Plasma HDTV
Some call it an irreversible shut down or trap mode. I went thru the process with the remote control to get out of it. I was able to then turn the tv off and back on at which time the was information visible on the screen. I turned the set off with the remote and now I'm right back where I started. I tried a main board I found on ebay with no change. A new main board from Pioneer costs a fortune. I assume the X and Y areas are good since I had a normal display. Any ideas?

first of all check out the fuse that mostly get blowned out in this problems.if the fuse is perfect then it could be the faulty capacitor issue check out on the main board with the help of the multimeter and replace the faulty ones and it should work properly.
