Inspect the drive belt to determine if it is broken or if it is loose on the pulleys. If the drive belt is broken or loose, replace it.

I hope that you ordered the correct part, Also there is an idler pulley that maintains the belt tension and that needs to be checked for proper tension.

Belt on wrong

The pulley bearing is probably worn out. Also, check the pulley arm pivot bearing for excess play.

I used a tie down strap, I put one hook under the lip of the agatator on one side then the other hook 180 degrees opposite the first, grabbed both straps and lifted it right off the drive bell. Really easy. Good luck Don

If it has the pump on the bottom of the motor, you have to remove that first. There is either (3) T25 screws holding it on, or 3 clips.

I always replace the pump when I do the belt.

You probably have the wrong belt, and its to small? Go to repairclinic.com or google Kelvinator parts. Order the correct belt.

check belt size

may be incorrect belt or gear box locking up.
