How do you know the video card is okay? Have you tested it in another computer? Have you tested the monitor on another computer?

GO into the BIOS setup routine and make sure that the "onboard video" if it has any ,is set to off. Malke sure that ou have the monitor attached to the video card and not the :onboard: one. Did you install the softweare and driver for the video card?
To receive further help, please  give us the make and model of the video card. Thanks

Computer on but screen wont come on

but are you hearing any start up sound when you turn on your pc? check if its the monitor/lcd or the videocard is the one having problems, try to hook a known good external monitor2_bing.gif. if it has the same bad display, its the videocard. if it has good display, then the lcd2_bing.gif/monitor is the part you need to replace.

if you can get into the menu your monitor should be ok. check the cables to the computer.you might have a lose connector on the videocard.wiggle the cable and watch the monitor. if nothing happens you might have a bad videocard. best way to chack monitor: connect it to a known good computer......
