Question about Compaq EVO T30 Network Terminal
Hello: I would like to upgrade a: 238622-001, Compaq Evo T30 Thin Client 300Mhz 32MB Flash/64MB/Win CE NET/IE 5.5 w/o to support PXE. This means it needs to have Windows NT embedded to support PXE. How can I achieve this? We have about 15 Evo T30 that we need to upgrade. Any one out there with suggestions? Thank you in advance.
You need to replace the 2mbit bios chip used by the WinCE Evo with the 4mbit one used by the NTe and XPe Evo, then you need an add on flash module, since the onboard flash is too small. After that, just find the OS file and flash away. You can find the OS files and a utility to flash from the HP support site. You'll need a crossover ethernet cable, not a patch cable, to do the flash.
