Question about Kenmore 55612 / 55614 / 5561 / 655619 Side by Side Refrigerator
I have a side by side made by GE in my garage. Most things seem to barely freeze in the middle but thaw in the top and the door. My garage is very cold on average about twenty degrees.
Possible door seal problem, door may not be sealing all the way.
If not the door,,then it may be a lack of refrigerant, it may have leak out, have it recharged.

I have another possibility for you. home refrigs for the most part are not designed to work in low ambient conditions ie: below 40f what will happen is they will cycle off on the temp control and then not start back up. only way to test for sure is move it to warmer area. door seals may be a part of th eproblem as well.
btw some newer refrigs actually have low abient kits available to help them operate in colder areas. you may check with GE to see if this is available to you. Peyton
