K jam screen align does not work after hundred or so attempts

Well I had the exact same problem with my K-Jam but my dead zone/spot was more specific to the centre of the entire screen. I also resorted to hard resetting my phone to try and resolve the problem and guess what is the first required action, screen alignment. I tried applying pressure to the centre of the screen for it to take the first setting but it wouldn't. I called Imate and spoke to a technician and their only option was for me to replace my LCD touchscreen mechanism.

I put my phone off for and never attempted the screen alignmentfor about three days (the screen was faced downwards for this period). One morning after awaking I put the phone on and tried aligning the screen with some pressure using my index fingers nail and the screen was aligned and I completed the setup successfully and to this day I dont think that I would resort to resetting the phone again for this problem.

Well, folks i had the same problem with the damn i-mate K-JAM model but i have figured out its solution. Well screen alignment options will always come on ever reset whether it is hard or normal and further more it would be nail biting for most of us because it doesn't work at all. It seems like some sort of a bug either in Windows Pock PC edition or HTC manufacturing bug. Whatever u call it only we would be the victim of it. Here is the solution.  

When the alignment screen comes Just Tag the {+} << in the exact centre it will then move to the top let corner of the screen again tag it from the middle and it will then jump to the lower left corner now don't tag it from the middle instead tag the lower left corner of the screen. It will then move to lower right corner of the screen now tag it again in the middle and finally it will fly to the top right corner now again instead of clicking in the middle just hit the top most right corner of the screen and now u r done. Screen is finally aligned whoops!

Sometimes even when the screen is aligned the touch pad malfunctions if this is the case with you u need to update the firmware like i did just search through Google the i-mate k-jam windows Pocket edition update.

one day i reset my i-mate k-jam set and when it turned on it gave me a message of screen alignment.i was afraid that what`s this...???
i tried my best to solve it but failed....
i took help from web but only take an idea and than i do one step with my mind and this gonna be solve..that step is as under;
tap the screen at exact locations of symbol {+} and this will be solve..
ok brothers just enjoy now...

I have the same problem with the screen alignment but was able to get past the screen alignment part. what i did was turned off the phone and turned it back on again, and as soon as the windows boot up screen appeared, i pressed the camera button for about 10-20 seconds. that somehow worked and brought me inside the system. it did not solve the alignment problem but i'm now able to use the phone sans the touch screen. well, thats better than nothing. try it. might work for you too...
