FROM MISS AISHA KONE EMAIL: aisha_kone@y7mail.com ABIDJAN COTE D IVOIRE Dearest Beloved one, Based on your profile, l am happy to request for your assistance and also to go into business partnership with you, i believe that you will not betaryed my trust which i am going to lay on you. I am Miss Aisha Kone ,22years old and the only daughter of my late parents MR.and MRS MUSTAPHA KONE. My father was a highly reputable busnness magnet-(a cocoa merchant)who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days. It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad year 12th.Febuary 2006.Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time. But God knows the truth! My mother died when I was just 4 years old, and since then my father took me so special. Before his death on Febuary 12th 2006 he called the secretary who accompanied him to the hospital and told him that he has the sum of Eighteen Million United State Dollars.(USD$18 000 000) left in one of the Banks here in Abidjan. He also told the secretary to let me know that i should looks for company directors or manager who knows about investment in overseas to help me transfer this fund in their country for investment and management while i will further my education. I am just 22 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. Sir,I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards.Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions:- 1. Can I completely trust you? 2. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you? Consider this and get back to me as soon as possible. Thank you so much. My sincere regards, MISS AISHA KONE.

Connecting with a USB cable will download still pictures but not video from tape.
You have to connect the camera with a firewire cable to capture footage from tape.

Hi, i am having panasonic nv gs-90 mini dv camcorder and the problem is how to copy files from tape to my pc. what is the procedure and which cables i need to have, hope you will reply soon

You need a firewire cable and a firewire card on your computer if it doesn't already have a firewire connector.

Then you'll need a capture software if you don't have windows movie maker.

Hope you can start making movies soon! :)

Panasonic NV GS25GN How to download from camera's tape to a new iMac OSX? Do I need special drivers? My iMac has a firewire 800 connector (not a 400).

I expect that Firewire 800 is backwards compatible with 400. You just need a cable with the appropriate connectors on each end. The Mac surely comes with the drivers already installed.

How it works with my mini-DV recorder (on a PC) is that when I fire up the video editing software, it sees the camera as a source and can control it from the computer to rewind and download. The book says use the mains power adapter to make sure the camera stays powered.

No DV output from Canon GL2. Using a firewire cable from DV port on camera to firewire port on Mac Pro tower. Attempting to import the camera live to Final Cut Pro. Previously worked just fine.

Was the tape your trying to import recorded on the camera you are trying to import from? I've noticed that sometimes the tape I recorded on my old Panasonic won't show up on my GL2. It's like it's a blank tape, but I know it's not, as I have it labeled. Stick it back into the panasonic and it plays fine.

How to get my PC recognize the Panasonic NV-GS15

Solution A: make sure you are using the correct cable for what you are doing (eg USB for webcam and importing photos and Firewire for transferring video footage

most desktops have firewire plug in them but laptops don't usually

to get a firewire plug in a laptop you need a PCMCIA to Firewire Cardbus (ask your local retail store for one or buy one on ebay etc.)

after that put the cardbus in your PCMCIA slot and restart

then go to Windows Movie Maker and press "capture from video device"

hope this helps!
