SOURCE: fisher price camera doesn't turn on

The problem is a small toggle switch inside the keyslot where the battery access door goes into. I am not sure yet why it quits getting triggered, but taking the camera apart and bypassing this swich will fix the problem. You can check to see if this is your problem without taking the camera apart by opening the access door and sticking a small screwdriver into the keyslot and flipping (gently) the little white toggle toward the back of the camera and then turning the camera on with the power button. If it comes on then the switch is your problem. I assume they put this switch in to kill power when when the access door is opened so that the camera doesn't get double power when a usb cable is plugged in (I imagine you will FRY your camera if you bypass this switch and then forget and plug in the usb without popping out the battery pack). There are eight screws that hold the cover on the back of the camera, you have to pry out those little pink pegs and then you will need a triangle bit to remove the security screws to access the inside of the camera. The two wires (red and orange) are the two that need to be connected to bypass the switch. write on the bottom of the battert pack (remove before plugging in usb) if you do this modification so you remember to remove battert power before pluggin in the usb. If you don't know what you are doing then I would suggest letting someone with some electronics experience do this.

I turn on smart cycle extreme and only half screen comes on with green color, but it doesn't start the program. Please help!

Clean the cartridge connection with Isopropyl alcohol. Also clean where the cartridge is inserted (an old toothbrush works the best). This corrected the issue for me.

Pluged in smart cycle in t.v. and smart cycle will not come on please help

I had a similar issue. My Smart Cycle worked for a while, then it progressively became more and more temperamental, failing at unusual times, not turning on consistently, then finally quit powering on entirely. Turns out there was dirt & grime (maybe a little corrosion) on the game cartridge and plug. The solution -- clean with Windex and q-tips.

Here's the post that led me to that conclusion:

I change Component Cable Video & Audio 6 cables

I might sound stupid but Double check that you`ve connected the correct connectors as in All Inputs plugs being used or All outputs plugs being used. If you have one of these leads with 6 connectors on one lead, (Audio Input L+R, Video Input, Audio Output L+R, Video Output) You need to make sure that if you get sound from the audio input plugs, then you must use the video input plug and vice verse. Video In or INPUT

It depends on your television set but there are two common ways to do it. One way is through the menu function on your television. The other is by pressing the Channel down button on your television or remote control and the option will appear.
