Re: I can not remove the stand from my aquos 46 inch tv.
You will find 4 screws at the back of the tv about 4" inches from the bottom. lay the tv set flat on your bed. you will need a metric allen wrench to remove the 4 screw. once the 4 screws are removed slide the base away from the tv.

I'd check on eBay. Many people will remove the stand and mount the TV to a wall or to a console stand. Discarding or selling the original stand. You can usually get them for far less than you'd pay for replacement parts.
Hi there, Most flat TV's actually have the stand held on by 4 screws on the back of the TV, not the bottom. Look closely and you should see them down 4 small holes. These hold the stand on. I think what you may have done is taken the bottom plate of the stand. Hope this helps TV_Doctors
Before detaching the stand, unplug the AC cord from the AC INPUT terminal. Before performing work spread cushioning over the base area to lay the TV on. This will prevent it from being damaged.
With the hex key that came with the television stand remove the four screws from the bottom back of the television and remove the stand.
If you also wish to remove the post from the stand base unit you can remove the four screws that attach them.
If the Aquos 46 is anything like the Aquos 42, the monitor is attached to the base with machine screws (bolts). They are located in the lower back portion of the monitor, probably need an Allen wrench to loosen and remove. Once that is done, the base can be removed from the monitor. Best way is to lay the monitor face down on a tabletop padded with foam, a quilt or blanket, etc to protect the screen as you work. Remove the stand from the monitor, not the monitor from the stand; it is easier and safer that way.
