Question about HP Photosmart 385 GoGo InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Unit won't power up when plugged in.

Printer last used about 2 year ago. I put the unit away after reading the message that the printer was low on ink.safely stored.

I plugged in the printer and nothing happened, no light no function.

When I checked the ink cartridge yesterday there seemed to be a small amount of ink in front of it so I removed it and there was a quite a bit of ink on the bottom of the cartridge and in the unit itself.
Can't find the manual.
Any Clues to my problem printer.

Try using a different power cable that connects your printer to the power jack on the wall....

My samsung CLX 2160 giving me Low heat cycle power error

To clear the "low heat" error, turn the machine off and unplug it from the wall. Wait a couple seconds then plug it back in and turn it on. Hopefully the error will clear and you can resume normal operation.

If the error still occurs, you'll have to call a service technician to either fix or replace your printer's fusing unit.

I bought a Samsung CLX 2160 laser color printer about 2 years ago and since some weeks I get an error message '' low heat'', no printing is possible since then. where is the problem and how can I solve it?...

The "low heat" error indicates a problem with the printer's fusing unit. Turn the machine off, unplug it from the wall, then plug it back in and turn it on. If the error shows up again, you'll need to call a service technician to come out and either repair or replace the fusing unit.

925 service fuser error

A 925 Fuser Error indicates that the wrong fuser lamp or the incorrect fuser assembly is installed.
  1. If this error appears shortly after the fuser unit in the printer is replaced, put the old fuser unit back in.
If the error message goes away with the old fuser unit, please check that the new fuser unit is the correct one for this printer model.
  2. If the printer has not recently had its fuser replaced, plug the printer directly into a wall outlet. Surge protectors and power strips can sometimes regulate the voltage to a fault for the printer. If the printer is already on a wall outlet, plugging the printer into a different outlet may solve the problem. Keep in mind that there is no need to have the printer connected to a computer during testing for a fuser error as any pages to test the functionality of the printer can be processed internally.
  3. If you have tried the printer on other wall outlets and the 925 Fuser Error still appears, the printer will require service to clear the message.

My Garmin street pilot C330 was purchased about 2 years ago. Lately, it has begun giving a message, Low battery. I have had to charged it up on my computer 2 times in the last 2 weeks. What is the problem?...

2 years is generally about it for the battery on the C330.
You most likely need a new battery.
Charging it on or off does not matter.
Run it with the back light on a dimmer mode to increase battery life for now.

LEXMARK X63 NOT RECONIZING LEFT CART.

I did find a procedure online to clear the memory and that did the
trick. Here it is, may help someone in the future:

Open lid, take both cartridges out. Physically remove the power cord from outlet or back of unit. While pressing the Stop/Clear button, plug cord back and kee pressing until a message saying "clearing memory" comes on. Reinstall ink. You're done, the message should go away.

New toner cartridge and paper jam

Does this happen when you install the old toner? Is the NEW toner an OEM or compatible? I have run into this problem before on some other Brother all in one models. There is a sensor flag located just below the toner and drum unit. Remove the toner/drum unit, check that the sensor flag will move to back and forth freely. My customer removed the toner and drum unit and threw the drum unit away, not realizing that the toner seats into the drum unit. When they placed just the toner into the printer, it read paper jam. Because the drum unit is part of the paper path, the sensor was not in the correct position.
Try re-seating the toner into the drum unit and then re-seat the entire unit into the printer. Let me know if this helps.

Hi,

Check out these steps:

1. Connect the printer directly to the wall outlet and

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.

Check with a copy from the front panel of the All-in-One.

However, the issue might be with the low on ink.

Please perform the following steps:

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.

2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.

Try to make a copy and get back to us with the results.

Sagar

Print cartridges

Hi,

As you have inserted the color cartridge in b/w slot that could be the cause you are receiving the error.

However, please follow the instructions from the below HP article and check for the result.

Here is the web document:

================

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00712226

================

Just copy and paste the entire link into the Internet browser's address bar and press enter.

Check if you are using genuine HP cartridges which are not refilled or remanufactured as that could be the cause of the issue.

Clean the cartridges by following the below given instructions.

Using a clean, dry lint-free cloth (a coffee filter works well), wipe the cartridge contacts, from the top to the bottom. The contact area of the cartridge should be rubbed briskly to remove the waxy lubricant material from the gold contacts. The contacts inside the printer may also require cleaning. Using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth, gently wipe the contacts, from the top to the bottom.

Please perform the step given below to power cycle the unit after removing the print cartridges from the printer:

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only
4. Repeat steps 2-3 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one to your computer.

Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by following these steps:

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on.

2. Press and hold + and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.

Note:
A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.
Hope, that should resolve the issue.

Regards,
Lawrence

When the jam was cleared the message went away.
