Question about Linksys (WRT54GC) Router
I have a MacBook pro and have had no problem hooking up to wireless networks in the past, but I just hooked up a linksys compact wireless g router and I can't get internet. All the router lights are up, showing (I assume) that it's receiving internet from my cable modem and my comp shows that it's receiving the wireless signal, but there's still no internet.
Have you check if you have a valid IP address? You could run IPconfig in the DOS window to verify this. If you have a valid IP address, try pinging the default gateway (You should be able to ping it.) Then, try to ping a website. If you could ping a website or URL but still can't browse check your firewall settings and optimize your browser.
Please post here what happen.
Thanks and regards,
