SOURCE: The left speaker of my

Hi,
This was caused by bad solder joints in the left speaker. You have to take it apart then re-solder the two wires connected to the speaker. That will solve your problem.
Thanks for visiting Fixya.

Bose cinemate speaker system suddenly gets very loud why?

If the unit is around 5-6 years old or less, you have a bad Rotary Encoder. It is an input to the microprocessor IC(a computer within your Bose). If you would like to inquire about repairing your Bose, please visit me at my website, audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me directly from the site.

Severe squelch in left ear phone

The design of these headphones includes a microphone on the outside and on the inside of each earcup. The outside microphone detects outside noise. The inside microphone monitors what you are hearing and when it detects that the outside noise is present inside, the active noise-canceling circuits remove that noise. This happens fast enough that you perceive a significant reduction in the outside noise getting to your ears.

The airspace inside the earcup is a tuned chamber defined by the shape of the foam in the ear cushion. This is important because with the inside microphone in close proximity, but at a 90-degree angle to the speaker, the circuit must be designed to eliminate the normal feedback that occurs.

If the foam in the ear cushion has weakened/deteriorated to the point that it no longer has it's original shape, (in particular the lower half of the ear cushion), the size and shape of the air chamber inside of the earcup is directing more of the speaker sound toward the microphone than the design can compensate for causing audio feedback to occur. You are hearing that feedback.

On my QC-3 headphones, I can cause the feedback squeal in both earcups, with the left earcup being more sensitive to the shape change than the right.

It is probably time to replace the ear cushions. If so, they are available from Bose for $35/pair.

One side of my Bose quiet comfort on ear headphones isn't working...can you help?

This is a problem that has to do with the wiring of the headset and any attempt to open it up to work with it may damage your headphone further.
It might require you to open up the part that doesn't function and ensure that the wires are properly connected and to make sure they are not jamming one another as this can cause failure in the speakers.
If you are able to go through the wiring and there is nothing wrong, it is therefore the speaker at that part of the headset that is not working and has probably exceeded it's lifespan and needs to be changed.
If you do not want to go through all these stress, you can send it to a technician.
please comment if you need more information.

Try the following: Press -> * <- <- * <- * ("->" is a right arrow key on your joystick) You can test your earphone from this menu, scroll down and click "earphone" and try changing volume. If you hear nothing, than your earphone is dead and it needs to be replaced.

Apparently there are screws hidden in the small foam ring covering the plastic (not the earcushion). Try it removing the foam and tell me how it goes!

Feedback sound like wind noise in right headphone of QC3, starts quietly and gradually gains in strength. Sometimes disappears, then comes back again. No sign of moisture in battery compartment. Any ideas?

This is important because with the inside microphone in close proximity, but at a 90-degree angle to the speaker, the circuit must be designed to eliminate the normal feedback that occurs. When the foam has weakened or deteriorated to the point that the size and shape of the chamber cannot be maintained, more of the speaker sound is directed toward the microphone than the design can compensate for causing audio feedback to occur. This also happens when the lower half of the ear cushion is compressed. Since this is occuring during normal use,
it may be time to replace the ear cushions. They are available from Bose for $35 per pair.

My Bose QC2 make a weird noise when I move my head

I fixed the problem by putting the ear **** up against my face with my mouth inside of the ear piece, as if my mouth would've been listening to music. Make sure it is air tight around your mouth. I gently sucked air out of the air ****, and it fixed the problem!!! The speaker must of gotten dented in a little bit from to much pressure at some point or another by pressing up on the ear piece while they were on my head. The things are so air tight. Hope this works for you too. :)
